New project funded by the DFG and the NSFC
We were just notified that our proposal for a 3-years position working on the molecular mechanisms of rhizobial release into host cells has been funded in a frame of a shared DFG/NSFC call! What a nice Christmas present.

The whole Ott lab would like to thank all collaborators, students and friends for this great year 2018 where we have started a number of new projects and methods that will be further developed in the future. We wish everyone (even reviewer 3 🙂 ) now some peaceful days over christmas and a healthy and successful year 2019.

PhD position in legume microbiome research available -CLOSED-
We offer a PhD position (salary level E13/0.65) to work within the DFG-funded priority programme SPP2125 “DECRyPT” on legume root colonization and micro-territory formation using synthetic bacterial communities and fluorescently labelled marker strains. These strains and their cellular environment will be investigated using high-end live cell imaging and correlative light-electron microscopy (CLEM). The successful candidate should hold a university degree in biology or a closely related field. Experience in advanced imaging and plant biology would be highly appreciated. Franck & Morgane joined the lab
